This past weekend saw our UNSW Raiders Colts, Womens and Mens teams commence their season at our home field.

COLTS – Congratulations to our young Colts who had their first game in 3 years!  The rookie team kicked off at 8pm on Friday night against the Nepean Ducks Colts team.  It was a very low scoring game with an unconverted touchdown by #20 Jahvia Peters late in the 4th quarter.  The boys fought hard in their first ever game but unfortunately were not able to come away with the win.  FINAL SCORE:   Ducks  7 defeated Raiders 6.

WOMEN – The reigning undefeated champions took to the field on Saturday kicking off at 4pm against the Newcastle Cobras.  The pressure was on our women to open up the season the way they ended 2015 and they did not disappoint!  Congratulations to the ladies and well done to the rookie players who certainly made their mark.   FINAL SCORE: Raiders 64 defeated Cobras 0.

MEN – Our mens team kicked off on Saturday evening at 6pm against the Nepean Ducks and they were looking to avenge our colts after they had been defeated the night before by only 1 point.  The sideline was crowed with a 64 man squad looking to start the season with a bang.  There were no disappointments with the Raiders holding the Ducks scoreless in the second half.  Congratulations to the men and well done to the rookie players.
FINAL SCORE – Raiders 26 – Ducks 7.
